Wii now the best selling console in U.S.
IT just keeps getting better for Nintendo
It seems that the Wii is now officially the best selling console in America according to a press release from Nintendo today.
The release states that the NPD Group has confirmed almost 10.9 million Wii consoles have found their way into American homes since it's release in November 2006. This apparently beats the figures for the Xbox 360 making the Wii number one.
"Wii was created with the goal of expanding the gaming universe through its intuitive motion-sensing controller," said Nintendo's Cammie Dunaway.
"As we have demonstrated this week during the E3 Media & Business Summit, Wii continues to pioneer new ways for people to interact with their video games and with one another."
To make it an even better day for Nintendo The NPD Group have also announced that six of the top 10 selling games for June were on the DS and Wii.
