Following their hefty announcements during a pre-E3 press briefing this morning, confirmed that in the future players will be able to install games on their 360's hard-disk.

The new feature was officialised on Major Nelson's Live blog, the exec promising that the new capability will improve loading performance and stop noisy disc access.

A new in-game dashboard will also be used, and there will be new display modes too.

Remote access will also usher in the ability for players to download demos and from their PC, via Xbox.com.

A selection of new features were also announced in Microsoft's expose this morning.
