Nordic countries can’t get enough
Seems Microsoft’s planned media blitz surrounding the European Xbox launch also includes a TV channel. Lucky viewers of the Viasat network can enjoy the Microsoft propaganda 8 hours a day, drawn to the new channel by pop-ups on other channels as well as mobile telephone services, teletext and of course the Internet.

This style of Microsoft marketing comes as no surprise. They have experience of the biggest consumer product launch ever with Windows 95 - taking over the UK ‘The Times’ newspaper for a day, and giving journalists a trip in a Russian submarine.

Whether this massive expenditure can encourage the punters to show them the money remains to be seen…
