Animal Crossing for Wii this year

Unofficially, Animal Crossing for the Wii has now been sighted, GoNintendo affirming that the long-rumoured title was spied on a Nintendo Norway release schedule yesterday.

This spot comes in the wake of Official Nintendo Magazine carrying a back page hinting at the title's existence in their latest issue, while writer Tom East noted on his blog that "Animal Crossing Wii will be unveiled at the conference", in the wake of the magazine tease. He means next week's E3, of course.

Expect word on Animal Crossing at Nintendo's press briefing next Tuesday.

The Norway-spawned rumour also points to a release for the game in 2008. Which is good. Thanks VG247.
