Before we move onto yesterday's juiciest news, allow me to report on a trio of new titles confirmed by at a news conference yesterday. The Cube will be getting a Wario Ware title, a Namco-created Donkey Kong game, and a new instalment in the story - all before the end of 2004, according to president Satoru Iwata.

Nintendo will also launch a new loyalty scheme giving frequent purchasers points, which will be redeemable against products. Called 'Club Nintendo', the scheme will launch before the end of the year in the and Japan, though won't be seeing it, sadly.

Now the big one: Nintendo will officially announce a brand new 'gaming product' in the Spring of next year. Whether this is the N5 Cube successor console, or something else, we don't know - but has it that their new console is scheduled for a 2005/6 launch, which would fit in with this announcement. More as we get it.
