Len Wiseman has been drafted in to direct the film adaptation of Epic's Gears of War. "We just want to make as good a as we can, and we think he's the guy who will do it," explained Epic's Mark Rein.

The previous script for the film written by Stuart Beattie has been scrapped, and Wiseman, who directed and co-wrote the Underworld and Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard, will be working with Fast and Furious writer Chris Morgan on a new screenplay.

All of this will probably mean a on the summer 2009 release that the film was originally scheduled for, but think that fans shouldn't be disappointed with this.

"It's like with our games, you can have it right or have it right now. We want to get it right. There's no timetable for us."
