As it's the weekend, I thought I'd share with you the funniest gaming news I've heard in ages - namely that ex-wrestler 'Maxx Payne' (or Maximum Payne, Max Pain or Lucifer Payne, depending on your preference), is to launch a against games firms Realms, Remedy, and publisher the Gathering of Developers (owned by Take 2).

Poor 'Maxx' is naturally rather aggrieved as he believes the developers have stolen his identity to use in the popular computer game Max Payne; which is scheduled a sequel in the not too distant future. Maxx is apparently seeking damages of $10 million.

"I left wrestling to come home to Utah and be with my and I find myself in the biggest battle of my life - to save my identity," commented Maxx, real name Darryl Peterson. "They stole something from me that I'm not going to give up."

So to cut a long story short, Mr Payne is out for revenge (and a hefty pay-off). How apt. Watch out deviants! Thanks go to Myway.com for this news.
