Achievements set for World of Warcraft?
Lich King test hints at new feature
World of Warcraft could be getting an achievements system in the future, according to online chit-chat related to the Wrath of the Lich King alpha test.
According to Deathknight.info, entering '/achievements' into the game's console brings up a brand new achievements interface, complete with test achievements with a points value.
Of course, given that this is alpha code this could still be nonsense, but we're intrigued to say the least.
The new rewards system appears similar to other MMO titles, and it is obvious Blizzard realise this is an area where they can improve. That said, we've no official word yet, and given the hidden nature of this feature in the alpha it still seems dubious whether achievements will definitely make it into the final release.
