Forbes are today arguing the case for a merger with Take-Two, suggesting an isn't the only option for the embattled publisher.

"Ubisoft has shown they do a good job of managing original intellectual property. Culturally, developers would not have a problem at Ubisoft because they allow a decent degree of creative freedom," offered Doug Creutz, analyst at Cowen and Co.

Forbes suggest Ubisoft might benefit from the merger as they look to make the step up into with and EA, having potentially exhausted organic growth.

"Ubisoft has grown phenomenally over the past few years," added Todd Greenwald, analyst at Signal Hill. "But the only way for them to continue to grow is to enter categories that they aren’t in."

A match made in heaven?
