WoW player arrested over "kidnap"

A 27 year-old man has been arrested in the US on kidnapping charges, after traveling to Washington State from Idaho with a 14 year-old girl he met playing World of Warcraft.

The two avid players met in Blizzard's persistent world MMO, and Morgan Douglas Jones took Saddie 'Elaine' Julian from Boise Idaho to Franklin County, Washington - where he was recovered by the authorities.

Jones was caught yesterday, after the alert was raises last week, parents and the police concerned by the relationship between this man and his much younger charge.

Jones' car apparently boasted the numberplate "OMGROFL", so in some ways it's surprising he wasn't picked-up sooner...
