Sony setting up Indian presence for PS2
New local studios recruited
Sony Computer Entertainment are looking to further push the PlayStation 2 in emerging game markets, and are reportedly penning deals with 13 Indian developers.

The new recruits will apparently make new games tailored to India's burgeoning games scene, and for sale abroad too.
Rediff report that the developers will work on budget titles, costing 499 Rupees. That's 6.30 GBP, or 12.40 USD, far lower than full-priced offerings.
Indiagames, Trine, DQ Entertainment and Dhruva are mooted to be among the 13 firms in question - EyeToy titles are said to count among the new creations.
