id Software have this week lifted the lid on QuakeCon 2008, the annual id fan-fest will this year take place at the Hilton Anatole Hotel, in Dallas, Texas.

The event will run from July 31st until August 3rd, and will play host to North America's biggest LAN party. Additionally, 60 developers will show of their wares, and there will be chit-chat from and friends.

Players will be able to bring their own computers to the event, and there will tournaments, prizes and more galore.
