Def Leppard may be launching their new single exclusively a week early via III, but doesn't miss out, either, Motley Crue revealing plans to air a new track exclusively via the MTV-backed game.

According to IGN, the new track will be called 'Saints of Los Angeles', and sees the 80s rockers launching their new song on the Rock Band store this week.

You won't be able to get the new track anywhere else, we're told, and this is a Rock Band first - no other act having launched a song through the game.

How long before chart organisations start tracking rhythm-action downloads, we wonder?
