With the release of the first downloadable content for the multi-million selling 4: Modern Warfare, Live was brought to its knees amid a scramble to purchase, download and play the new Variety Map Pack.

Following the release, users were plagued by connection errors, while others struggled to redeem Points. The teething problems, caused by the popularity of the content, have now been resolved it would seem.

"Just a heads up that it looks like Marketplace is back on it's feet and running as normal. You should have no problem buying or redeeming the new Variety Map Pack. If you tried yesterday when it was down and received an Invalid Code error, be sure to retry today with the same code," read a statement from Infinity Ward's community boss, Robert Bowling.

"We've been preparing for the launch of the new maps on the as well via PSN," Bowling added on the prospect of the maps hitting the PS3 and PC. "So we should have details on that in the near future (hopefully next week).

"On the side of things the Patch is in queue to finish internal QA for release," he added.
