GTA IV multiplayer specs revealed
16-player, 15 modes in total
The latest edition of Spanish magazine PSM3 is quoted online this weekend as having delivered proper details on the multiplayer mode that will be included in Grand Theft Auto IV when it is released at the end of April.
According to the magazine, players will access the online multiplayer action via hero Niko's mobile, with 16-player shoot-outs the order of the day; complete with heavily customisable characters.
Deathmatch and team deathmatch modes will be offered, with a driving-based Race mode across Liberty City also hinted. Four player co-op battles with the law will also be offered as part of a crooks versus cops mode.
All in all fifteen multiplayer modes of play will be offered by Rockstar, and one mode will be based on a singleplayer mission, in which you'll protect a mafia boss with four team mates. Various other plays on real world scenarios will also be on offer, players tasked with retrieving objects, et al.
