Hudsonsoft have unveiled plans for a new version of classic Tetris on the Wii, the publisher promising that the new version will include innovative modes.

Jostiq translate the latest news on the block-dropping hit of yesteryear, revealing that various shaking moves will reveal special items, power-ups and the like.

The multiplayer mode will offer support for up to six players, with bolstering the title in addition to over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

A release for Tetris is planned for the summer. No pricing has been offered.
