Capcom are this week proud to confirm that Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles has now passed one million worldwide.

The game is a special edition of the Japanese firm's popular series, designed specifically for the console. The title was released in November 2007, and follows on from the revision of RE 4 for the Wii, which arrived in June.

Capcom announce that the series has now sold a whopping 34.5 million copies in total. The first game launched in 2006.

The Umbrella Chronicles offers first-person with light-gun style combat, interactive pathways, multiple weapons and new enemies taking in famous locales from the series. A two-player co-op mode and support for the Wii Zapper are incorporated.

More soon.
