New Xbox and Ninty consoles by 2010?
Analysis suggests...
Evan Wilson, Pacific Crest Securities analyst, believes that both Nintendo and Microsoft will be releasing new home consoles in 2010 - with new iterations of the PSP and DS also likely to arrive in or around the same time.
Speaking to GameSpot, Wilson said it was "unlikely" that either of the console firms would try to break the traditional five-year cycle with this generation of hardware. The DS and PSP are also likely to be replaced based on the same methodology.
Wilson has previously stated his belief that Nintendo are readying the DS Lite's replacement, but that it will not be unveiled until sales of the handheld are trailing-off globally.
The analyst also tipped EA to bounce back, the publisher suffering a few blips of the business variety lately.
More soon.
