This week's Wednesday Live debutant will be Discs of Tron, word from reveals today.

This is the second Tron title, and sees players duking it out with the villainous Sark in a virtual arena - the aim being to knock your foe off his (evil) platform.

Classic (read: pixely) and enhanced visual modes are offered, with the latter boasting a 3D cityscape in the periphery. There will, of course, also be a range of achievements - and an leaderboard for that extra element of competition.

Microsoft haven't revealed pricing yet, but the last Tron title cost a reasonable 400 Microsoft Points.

More soonish.

Update: Discs of Tron isn't the only debutant out this week. Gamers will also be getting Commanders: Attack of the Genos tomorrow. An 800 Microsoft Points turn-based title from Sierra Online is promised, and there will be various units, and online play for up to four. Which, all in all, sounds more fun than Discs of Tron, actually...
