Tomb Raider next gen sequel coming, Square Enix reaffirms commitment to triple-A
Square Enix has reaffirmed their commitment to triple-A games development despite their disappointment in the performance of Sleeping Dogs, Hitman Absolution and Tomb Raider.
In a blog post on the Square Enix website, European CEO Phil Rodgers pointed to Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III as well as next year's Thief as indications that they are still fully committed to triple-A game development.
Rodgers wrote, “Square Enix is in production with a number of next generation projects, including Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III, which were announced at this year’s E3, and Thief coming in 2014. I am also excited to reveal that we are well into development on a next-generation Tomb Raider sequel – something you may have heard about recently!”
