Having revealed earlier today that Undertow will be free to download for the second half of this week by way of a thank you to Live users for their loyalty, have also confirmed the first ever Awards.

The top downloadable Arcade titles of 2007 will be celebrated as part of the awards, rewarding the developers behind some 112 Live releases. The categories have already been revealed, with Microsoft promising to announce the winners next month.

You can vote for your favourites via the official site, with the finalists in each category having been selected by a panel of consumer and video game journalists (where was my invite, eh?), the winners being determined by popular vote.

The winners will be announced at the GDC in February.
