Frontlines ditched on PS3?
Speculation points to cancellation
Publisher THQ have so far declined to comment on rumours that Frontlines: Fuel of War may have been axed on the PlayStation 3, with the game supposedly out next month on Sony's console, as well as the PC and Xbox 360.
The Xbox.com forums provide the rumour this week, making this gossip altogether less than impartial. That said, developer Kaos Studios have seen some rather unusual chatter on their own message boards, one administrator commenting: "Please do not overeact to rumors or, like with release dates, take what retailers say as truth."
"The timing of this was unfortunate as it was the weekend but there will be actual info shortly," the same admin noted on the rumour, seemingly avoiding an outright denial. Another purported Kaos dev assured us that "the Xbox version is great!" further enflaming already agitated PS3 users.
Hopefully Kaos or THQ will clear up this idle chatter soon, in the meantime, fingers crossed that the PS3 will be getting the game on the 29th of February - like the Xbox 360 and the PC.
