CVG are this week reporting word that a "1.5" could be en route to the PlayStation 3 console, rumours persisting that were plotting a release on Sony's system long before the game even debuted on the late last year.

'Insiders' apparently reveal that the will be getting a port from the PC version of Crysis, complete with a few tweaks, some extra modes and features, which should make the game even more enticing on the console.

Online chatter has it that this game will once again be a visual extravaganza, and it seems the PS3's mighty innards are finally beginning to tell, the apparently not up to the hefty visual requirements of Crysis.

Of course, this is all spurious tittle-tattle at present, so please treat it with liberal doses of salt, while in the meantime we will of course keep you posted.
