Sony's ThreeSpeech blog has unturfed a few new details on the upcoming Resistance: Fall of Man sequel, which has emerged in recent days thanks to the February issue of Game Informer.

While much of the original took place in Europe, we're told Resistance 2 will take place in the USA, and will feature partly computer-generated environments, which promise to make each play through different.

Online and as we mentioned before support for up to 60 players will be offered, and we're told this gameplay will be squad-based. Three classes will be available to choose from in - a tough soldier, a cunning special ops chap or a kindly medic. The game's match-making service promises to group players of complimenting skills, making for fair fights.

New enemies have even been hinted, including some that will feature cloaking abilities, while developer have made a number of improvements called-for, including a better save system. The game will also use more of the PS3's pixel-pushing power than the last time around.

More on Resistance 2 soon.
