MGS4 mooted on 360 once again
More denials from Konami...
While Konami are once again assuring us that Metal Gear Solid 4 remains a firm PlayStation 3 exclusive for the foreseeable future, rumour surrounding the existence of an Xbox 360 version persist.
XboxFamily.com were reporting that a Konami 'distribution source' had confirmed to them that the title was on the way to the Xbox 360, and would arrive in 12 to 14 months. The publisher, on the other hand, deny everything. "For the record, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is a PlayStation 3 exclusive and there are no plans to develop an Xbox 360 version of the game," a representative told the online press.
While Konami have always insisted that a PS3 will be needed to play MGS4, that hasn't stopped rumours persisting, especially after senior figures could be heard muttering about development costs and the PS3's relatively small userbase.
