With the version of Unreal Tournament 3 due out on November 23rd, and the developer working hard to get the version out the door this side of (something that may or may not happen, still), Games chief Mark Rein revealed that of the game for will not begin until "early next year."

The big cheese confirmed to RIOTT that a 360 version of the game is definitely on the way, but remains a distant prospect compared to the PC and PS3 versions. This is, presumably, part of the semi-exclusivity deal Epic has with Sony, over the 'leading' status of the PS3 version.

Speaking at last week's UT3 launch event in Birmingham, Rein described the PS3 as an open system, embracing user-added content, while the 360 might struggle with such concepts apparently.

"So our job, when we finish the PS3 version, and we've taken a little break, is to sit down with and to figure out how we can do Mods on their system."

More soon.
