Guitar Hero II gains international flavour
Three new games for Guitar Hero II
Activision has just announced new tunes for Guitar Hero II. The songs, which each have an international twist, will be welcomed from gamers keen to rock out to less mainstream music. The songs, which function as Guitar Hero levels, are all available on the game’s music download service.
"Sin Documentos" by Los Rodriguez is a track that originates in Spain. "Sept" by Pleymo is a loud and proud song that has all its lyrics in French. Finally, "Exile" by Soilwork is a German ditty which we understand is uber popular in Germany.
After criticism for release music in bundles rather than single songs, it is good to see that these tracks are available on their own. That said, as they retail for 200 points, it still looks like we will have to wait a while until we see the sort of value we have been asking for.
It will be interesting to see how the release of Guitar Hero III and the competitor product Rock Band impact the market, and price, of music-play.
