A fishing game on the Wii? It sounds almost too obvious now we stop and think about it. Someone at clearly agrees as they've just announced a new version of their 'classic' fishing sim Sega Bass Fishing.

Having been a surprise arcade and Dreamcast hit a few years ago, Sega have seen the success of the motion sensing Wii as the perfect time to re-launch the "most successful fishing game franchises of all time," as their press release calls it.

The game makes intuitive use of both the Wii Remote and Nunchuck and is set to feature over 20 different types to lure, 15 lakes and four types of freshwater bass. Exciting news for all those game playing fishing fans out there, less exciting for the rest of us perhaps.
