Nintendo's 'Hanabi' Festival celebrations culminate today, with a European first landing on the in the shape of Sin and Punishment from the N64. The acclaimed original never made it to Europe, much to the consternation of Ninty's fans.

Sin and Punishment is a third-person shoot 'em up, which sees players battling genetic mutants called Ruffians across a series of levels. The title was never previously released outside of Japan, so we're feeling rather lucky that not only has the game now landed in downloadable form - but it has also been translated into English.

Also hitting the VC for the final week of Hanabi is side-scroller Gradius III, which features plenty of space battling originally from the SNES but only released in the previously - not Europe.

Another downloadable also hitting the VC, but not officially part of the celebrations it would seem, is Legend of Hero Tonma, a platform game in which we've got to rescue that pesky princess. Again.

Sin and Punishment will set you back 1200 Wii points, Gradius III 900 points and Tonma 600 points. You've also got but two days remaining to bag Super Bros: The Lost Levels, which are only available until the 30th. More soon.
