Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock will be journeying to the new worlds of the and Mac, as part of a new deal between Aspyr Media and GH III creators and RedOctane.

The award-winning rhythm series has so far sold over 5.5 million copies, with number three currently in for the 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, and now the PC and Mac, too.

Aspyr are hoping to launch the new versions of the game this autumn, alongside the already confirmed console versions. More than 70 tracks, modes and more are promised, though the games will be created separately from the editions being crafted by Neversoft.

We'll bring you more on this as we get it.
