Project Origin is F.E.A.R. sequel
Monolith name their Fear
Having launched a competition to choose a name for their new game, Vivendi and Monolith have decided that their F.E.A.R.sequel will from henceforth be known as Project Origin, which certainly has a ring to it.
The competition ran during the summer months under the 'Name Your Fear' moniker, the developer in need of a new name because Warner Bros. owns the rights to the F.E.A.R. brand now.
Dark Signal and Dead Echo were both runners-up (despite sounding rather good in their own right), while the likes of Blood Let: Drenched in Desecration, Lament: Spoils of the Reckless, Unleashed Sorrow, Burning Decay, Infernal Torment and Catalyst for Chaos also fell by the wayside.
"Our team really enjoyed letting the fans drive the naming process, and we are excited to expand upon the work we began in the original game and establish Project Origin as a premier gaming franchise in its own right," commented Troy Skinner, Producer, Monolith Productions.
