By now, Sega had started down the slippery slope of cock-ups and from here on you know the story, more or less…. Out popped the Saturn, a great console with some great games, but it came up against the might of the Playstation and all was lost… Which is a great shame as I really liked the ill fated little console, Nights into Dreams was a superb game as was Guardian Heroes and Panzer Dragoon Zwei. If you see a Saturn and you want to play some awesome games, buy one, it should be around £25 bundled with a few titles. Well worth it. I won’t dwell on the Saturn as you know what happened, if you don’t… well it was like the Dreamcast, only in black…

What of the Gamegear and Nomad? Well they where both colour, battery munching hand helds. The Gamegear was basically a Master System and a Nomad was a Mega Drive (the performance reminds me more of the GBA than anything else!). Both were good little devices, but too expensive at the time, therefore they got trounced by Nintendo’s Game Boy, which cleared house. An investment for the future though….

What more proof do you need? Forget you copy of Max Payne or Dark Ages of Camelot, go and buy a second hand console. You might just enjoy yourself…
