Harmonix, and have today confirmed at that rhythm-action opus will not only land on the and - but on the PS2, as well. The version will arrive in PAL regions in early 2008, while the 360 and PS3 editions are due out this winter (at least, they are in North America, the only region so far dated).

Built using the functions and features of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the party title, the PS2 game nonetheless promises to deliver platform specific content. EA and also promise highly localised content for the new game, offering tracks tailored to in addition to the tunes already promised.

"The European continent’s rich and diverse musical pedigree transcends culture and language, which is why we are extremely pleased to announce Rock Band in Europe for early 2008," enthused Jeff Yapp, EVP, MTV Program Enterprises. "It was imperative that we have significant on-disc and downloadable localized music content for multiple European territories on the PlayStation 2 system, Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 system in order for Europeans to truly get the full Rock Band experience and interact with the music they love."
