The latest scoop in from North America reveals that three new-old games have crash-landed onto the local service, with NES hit leading the latest update, alongside two friends.

Metroid arrived on PAL shores in late July and it's good to see our North American gaming brothers also getting their paws on this seminal title. Joining it is Shining in the Darkness, not out in PAL areas yet, which is a dungeon title with a fantasy theme, that sees you battling monsters to save the princess.

The other new fun is Cratermaze, an puzzle title freshly ported from the TurboGrafx-16. This bizarre little game sees you digging holes to trap and then bury enemies, as you try to rescue your friends from the evil Zenizombie across 60 time-limited levels.

The NES title will set you back 500 Wii points, the Megadrive gift 800 points and the TurboGrafx creation 600 points. More soon.
