More slices of shameless gaming memorabilia slip onto the service this week, with Star Soldier leading the charge.

The NES classic is a Hudson title originally released on the NES. Apparently, the title is the first in the Soldier series from the developer, and promises lashings of vertically-scrolling action. 16 stages will feature, and players will be able to upgrade their battle ship along the way with improved speed, firepower and defenses.

Star Soldier costs 500 Wii points.

But what next? Dynamite Headdy from the Genesis is next out of the hat, promising an almost disturbing mix of puppet-fighting, with our hero Headdy using his own head as a lethal weapon in a bid to overthrow the evil puppet king. As the player progresses through various scenes, they'll be offered new heads with which to battle. I kid you not. 800 Wii points.

Last up of this week's US VC releases is Drop Off, another Hudson title this time from the TurboGrafx-16. A puzzle-style title is the dish of the day here, and we're told to expect side-shifting block bashing all wrapped up in a surprisingly involved plot. 600 points for you.

More soon.
