Beowulf detailed by Ubisoft
Out in November...
Ubisoft are finally beginning to fill us in on the Beowulf videogame announced back at UbiDays in May, confirming that the new title will be out in November on the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and PSP. The new game will be out to coincide will the release of Robert Zemeckis' flick, starring Ray Winstone.
Ubisoft's Tiwak Studio will develop, and the game will see us following Beowulf's life as described in the epic poem, in which our hero travels to Denmark to claim the throne. In the game you'll be leading an army of thanes, as well as accumulating 'carnal abilities', something we'll refrain from commenting on.
Robert Zemeckis says he is "confident that gamers will find it to be an immersive and entertaining experience that goes far beyond the traditional movie-licensed game." Dare we hope for something beyond the usual licensed tosh, then? We'll know come November.
