Marathon set for Live Arcade
Bungie classic this summer
Original Bungie FPS Marathon: Durandal is being crafted for the Xbox Live Arcade, with an updated version of the shooter set for launch on the service later this summer.
Freeverse are in the process of crafting this conversion of the 1995 original, which was first released on the Apple Mac.
Marathon: Durandal promises multiplayer action for up to eight players over Live, as well as an off-line mode for up to four players on the same system via split-screen. High-definition graphics will be added, and there will be 27 single player levels, 13 multiplayer levels, as well as one for survival mode.
The title promises to use the Halo control scheme, and the will cost 800 Microsoft points at launch.
The title will join 100 other Arcade releases promised by the end of 2007.
