MS reveal new Viva Pinata and celebrate line-up at E3
New party game spied
Revealing new titles as part of their festive line-up at their pre-E3 conference, Peter Moore has this evening lifted the new lid on a new Viva Pinata-themed party game in Santa Monica, Viva Pinata: Party Animals promising to be a 50-strong mini-game title for the 360, developed by Krome Studios not Rare, mind.
Early footage of Party Animals shown by Moore, who opened the conference by praising Rock Band and promising new 'bands' later this week, saw stuff getting smashed in gardens, a boat race and a race around a town.
The opening of the event was heavy on footage, and a vivid battle with Alien forces was shown on the screen, complete with third-persion fighting - all of which looks lovely. A name? Nothing yet, sadly.
Moore also uses the presentation to highlight the successes of the console's line-up, noting the arrival of Halo and GTA in time for this Christmas - reeling out stats on past glories and promising more to come. He insists the 360 is driving the next-gen forward though concedes that it is 'close' with Nintendo's Wii.
The likes of Mass Effect, Half-Life 2, GTA IV, Splinter Cell Conviction, MoH Airborne and Assassin's Creed leap onto the big screen highlighting some of the year's biggest releases on the way.
MS promise: "This holiday will be unlike anything that's come before it."
