GTA Online stimulus package delayed for one more update, first content updates announced

More tweaks and fixes due before they start handing out the cash

Rockstar has made another public update on the situation regarding GTA Online and expecially the eagerly-awaited stimulus bonus.

They have decided to delay giving out the 500,000 GTA$ stimulus bonus until they have done some further work on stabilising the gameplay experience and so they will be releasing one more title update for the PS3 and Xbox 360 before they start dishing out the two 250,000 GTA$ payments to players. The next title update is due next week some time.

Secondly they have revealed the first two content updates that are due before the end of the year. The first is the Beach Bum Pack which will add a whole collection of new customisation options like tattoos and hairstyles as well as new Jobs to play throughout the coastline of Los Santos and Blaine County. This pack is due to be delivered for free at the beginning of November. GTA Online stimulus package delayed for one more update, first content updates announced

The second addition will be the Content Creator which will allow players to create their own races and deathmatches to play and share. Rockstar will even be looking at the content created and will even be selecting their favourites to receive the Rockstar Verified stamp of approval. This will also be a free update.

Finally, they announced that beginning in November, they will be holding special Rockstar Social Club event weekends in which players can bag themselves special rewards ranging from limited edition in-game Event Crate Drops, to in-game discount specials. They'll also be hosting a special new GTA Online live-stream show hosted over on the Rockstar Twitch.tv channel.
