Nokia's White Rock for PC and N-Gage?
Cross-platform plans afoot
The latest news on the grapevine today, via Pocket Gamer, reveals that Nokia could be plotting the first N-Gage title that will be exactly the same on a PC and might even function seamlessly between the two platforms. Project White Rock, as the title is known, is being developed by RedLynx, and will run at the same resolution whichever machine it appears on - and boasts over 1,000 lines of dialogue.

It isn't yet known if PC gamers will be limited to certain keys or commands, but this certainly marks a new step down the road of convergence. Indeed, while the N-Gage version of White Rock might look good for a mobile title, it is hard to imagine an identical game competing on the PC successfully.
That said, as The Register note, we've seen mobile phone game makers purporting to offer party games and even (in the case of Qualcomm) a dance mat mobile offering, so anything is possible. Whether Qualcomm will really be able to compete with the PlayStation 3, as they state, seems unlikely at this juncture.
More news on Nokia and Project White Rock as we get it, however, perhaps the Finnish mobile giant have got something special up their sleeve.
