Eidos Interactive have revealed this week that like previous releases, Tomb raider Anniversary will be released for the via the content delivery platform, with Lara's latest set to arrive on Friday. The 1st of June release, debuting simultaneously and in stores, will cost Steam users 29.95 USD - which is about 15 GBP, or 36 AUD, if you prefer.

The new adventure is once again being crafted by Crystal Dynamics, who dragged Lara kicking and screaming back up to par with their last release, and was originally announced in honour of Miss Croft's 10th anniversary. It will now mark her 11th after a couple of delays. The game will utilise an improved 'Legend' engine, and promises plenty of classic revisiting some Lara's old school haunts.

A PC of Anniversary can already be had via the interweb and the full title will hit stores Friday for both the and PC. More as we get it.
