Donkey Kong Country 2 hits PAL VC
...and this week's VC titles are...
We can confirm that this Friday's new PAL-region Virtual Console debutants are already available in some countries, with Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest from the SNES and Mario & Yoshi from the NES this week's new additions.
Nintendo reveal that some regions were given the new content early because of regional bank holidays, though they would normally have gone live everywhere from Friday. Diddy Kong Quest is a VC port of the '95 favourite, which boasted some devilishly fun platform gameplay, and nice visuals. The game stars Diddy Kong, and his girlfriend Dixie. Yours for 800 Wii points.
Mario & Yoshi is of an even older vintage, and promises lashings of puzzle fun ported over from the NES. Graphics junkies need not apply - but on the plus side this retrograde slice of gaming history can be yours for 500 points. Which isn't bad at all, really.
