With a new game announcement expected at a showcase taking place in Seoul this weekend, more than a few clues have begun circling suggesting that Starcraft 2 could be the new project the developer have been teasing us with for some time.

Not only is the franchise hugely popular in South Korea, but a count-down to some form of revelation has been spied on Starcraft2.com - the count-down being identical to one present on Blizzard.com (featuring a potted Blizzard history and a big question mark). It is also possible that this will be a Starcraft themed MMO, given the developer's hiring of staffers for an title, though this could of course be for something entirely different given the resources available to Blizzard. Whatever this weekend's news is, we're promised a 'big surprise', though we must concede we won't be hugely surprised if this turns out to be a new Starcraft title.
