Shadowrun dating emerges
June 1st for cross-platformer
June 1st will see the emergence of Shadowrun in PAL regions (Europe, Australia, et al), Microsoft have today revealed, confirming also that the PC version should cost about 10 GBP less than the Xbox 360 edition. The game will be the first title allowing PC and Xbox 360 users to play together online.
FASA Studios are behind the new game, a first-person RPG affair, which seems to take its cues from the SNES classic of the same name. Cross-platform gaming will only be possible if PC gamers are willing to join the Games for Windows - LIVE service, but if they do 16-player matches between the systems will be possible.
Set in and around Santos Brazil in the not-too distant future, 2031, Shadowrun features a tussle between two opposing forces. RNA Global is a corporation 'out to control' and has recently unearthed magical powers. The Lineage is a 5000 year old secret society dedicated to the defense of said power. We suspect you'll therefore be indulging in more than a little magic, as well as witnessing elves, potions and gold... oh please let there be gold.
UNO is also a cross-platform game, it might interest you to note. More on quite literally all of this as we get it.
