We've heard speculation in the past about "all" franchises becoming titles, of expansions to on both the and consoles, and even of new IPs altogether. Well, its looking increasingly plausible that Blizzard's next opus cause be a MMO - after separate announcements hinted at the new project.

First, Blizzard told fans that the next installment in the long clamoured-for StarCraft series could be confirmed come May 19th, then a number of job openings were spied at the developer, offering positions on a 'next-gen MMO'. 1 + 1 = 2? Possibly, though it is plausible that these stories are unrelated, with two separate games being planned.

Blizzard are planning an event in Korea for May 19th, at which a new product will be unveiled, the developer confirming their intentions to 'revisit' the StarCraft world "in the future." Several high-profile Blizzard staffers have hinted at a new StarCraft in recent months - and with in this Korean event followed by North America's in August, the company has two perfect opportunities to show their hand.

Is World of StarCraft on the launchpad, then? We can but hope...
