SCi backs PS3 after all
SCi and Eidos will be releasing a couple of their upcoming creations on the PlayStation 3 after all, having previously hinted that they would delay any decisions on supporting the new platform in order to see how the 'console wars' pan out. With this in mind, Kane & Lynch and Crossfire are both now heading to the PS3 - in addition to the Xbox 360 and PC.
SCi group announced the fresh support for Sony's platform in a statement to the London markets, revealing that they now believe the PS3 will reach 'critical mass' during 2008. This makes it less risky for publishers to release games on the format.
Io Interactive's Kane & Lynch will now hit the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in time for Christmas this year, while Crossfire (the latest installment in the Conflict series), will arrive in early 2008 on the same trio of formats.
In their new financial reporting, SCi also reveal that they are presently debating a Kane & Lynch film with Fox. More on this as we get it.
