1. Before we kick off the questions about the game, please would you be so kind as to divulge to us the history of Termite. Where the team came from, and where you want to be.

The history of Termite is a true adventure. We were initally named Insomnia Software, but some evil people had a problem with that as they believed it interfered with their trademark. Initially the game called Decay was being worked on. We got a dream-deal from an american publisher because we had per-pixel lighting, bumpmapping and shadows 4 years ago, so they thought 'this crew is incredible, they can do anything!' - while in reality we were quite inexperienced at the time. Basically we went over there, showed them our tech, heard some mumblings like - 'it actually runs at 100 frames per sec...' and then they wanted to sign us! We decided we wanted to sleep on it, the publisher people looking quite worried, as if maybe we didn't want to work with them. The next morning we gave them a call and said that we wanted them as our publisher - they got real happy. Unfortunately, we had signed on to make a game as complex as times three. Couldn't do it. That was bad. Then our american publisher had a bit of a money problem, and as we were a 'high risk' project - we got cancelled. That was _really_ bad. Through alot of hard work, risk-taking and luck we managed to stay in business. Then we got a real good part-owner who saw things our way. I cannot disclose his name but he is our Guardian Angel so to speak.

That meant that we could spend additional time to rewrite and improve the technology, and figure out the best game to make - our dream game, without taking too long. So here we are! Running on technology that makes the old one look like child's play and doing the game we want, together with a publisher that is tons of fun to work with.

Oh, and we now even have quite a bit of experience. ,)

2. From what I can extract from the information available on the game to date, it would appear that New World Order focuses on a multiplayer-style of gameplay; however singleplayer ‘missions’ are also mentioned. Please explain the nature of gameplay you are aspiring to, and how the single and parts of the game differ.

NWO feature both strong single and multiplayer gameplay. The multiplayer game was focused on first, to make sure that everything worked fine and that the game was really fun and intense to play. The multiplayer gaming-style is a natural foundation for great single-player gameplay. The single-player game is played differently though; it's much more tactical in its style and the player get to experience the story of the conflict between The Global Assault team and The Syndicate. We have some very strong elements in the single-player game, but I can't talk about them just yet. We're creating gameplay that is more intense, more emotional than what you've seen so far; putting the player in situations that can actually invoke fear or even panic. We want to take it to the next level!
