Why was it decided to make the Phantom broadband reliant?

The Phantom’s GUI will be 3D/Virtual enabled. The graphics are the best ever seen.
How can Infinium Labs compete with the likes of Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo?
Infinium Labs has created a unique console and delivery system. We see our service so unique from the other console manufactures that we are not their competitor.
The company plans to market a high performance gaming console and delivery system to provide consumers with options and capabilities that are not available in today’s marketplace. The console will appeal to the hard-core gamer and the high end consumer electronic purchaser. We are confident that consumers will welcome a new console and distribution system.
A US launch is planned in 2003. Will the system be launched in other countries?
Infinium Labs intends to launch the Phantom in the US first, with launches soon to follow in Europe and Asia.
What is the status of the Phantom’s development and when do you expect to launch?
Infinium Labs has engineered its prototypes and expects to unveil the new gaming console in March of 2003. The company intends to launch the game console to the U.S. consumer market by November 2003.
Are any first-party games in development for the Phantom, that will help set it apart from the fierce competition?
Infinium Labs has negotiated with many game development companies. The game development community has been very positive about having a better delivery system.
What support from third-parties does the system have? Are any major publishers involved, and what is their support for distributing games online like?
Details will be released soon on third party partnerships. Infinium Labs has established some very exclusive partnerships with various vendors and publishers as well as providing a platform for game developers wishing to reach a broader audience range.
What will be the price of the Phantom?
We are not announcing the price of the Phantom at this time? There will be a subscription service for multi-player gaming.
What are your plans for marketing the system, and attracting gamers to your new baby, and what pricing are you currently looking at?
